Victoria will be fighting against New South Wales in the 6th match of Marsh One Day Cup 2023 at the Junction Oval in Melbourne on September 29. Both the teams have played one game each and have won them. Victoria are currently in the third position, while New South Wales are in the second on the points table.
Victoria locked their horns with Tasmania in their match, where Victoria won the toss and elected to bowl. B Webster scored 83 runs, followed by J Weatherald (28) and C Archibald (25). The team got all out on 224 runs. When Victoria came to bat, P Handscomb scored the highest (51) runs, followed by C Kellaway (46) and T Rogers (45). They managed to chase the target while keeping three wickets in hand.
New South Wales had also fought with Tasmania in their last game, where New South Wales won the match by six wickets. New South Wales won the toss and elected to bowl. Tasmania opened poorly with the early fall of wickets with very few runs. B Webster scored the highest (65) runs, followed by P Dooley (39). The team finished their innings with 198 runs. When New South Wales came to bat, J Edwards and D Hughes opened impressively, scoring 92 and 58 runs, respectively. The team scored a total of 202 runs and chased their target successfully.
