
Tanzania will be fighting against Rwanda in the 18th match of the East Africa T20I Cup 2023 at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali on August 31. Tanzania have played four games and won two of them, standing in the second position on the points table. Rwanda have played five games this season and have won only one of them. They currently stand at the bottom of the points table.
Tanzania last locked their horns with Rwanda, where Rwanda won the toss and elected to bowl. Batting from Tanzania, I Seemani scored the highest (34) runs, followed by M Yunusu Issa Sefu (31) and S Thakor (30). They scored 159 runs at the loss of seven wickets. E Rukiriza scalped two wickets, and Z Bimenyimana, K Irakoze and M Akayezu picked one wicket each. When Rwanda came to bat, K Irakoze hit the highest (24) runs, which was followed by E Sebareme (21) and W Niyitanga (18). They got all out on the score of 98, and hence, Tanzania won the match by 61 runs. YM Nkanya scalped three wickets, S Ally picked two wickets, and M Yunusu Issa Sefu, A Kimote, S Basha and K Nassoro got one wicket each.
