Papua New Guinea Women had played against Japan Women in their last match, where Japan won the toss and elected to bat. They started very slow and kept losing wickets as well, making it a slow and sloppy start. Only two of those batters could reach a score in double digits. They batted throughout the innings but could only muster 67 runs by the end of it. In reply, Papua New Guinea batted brilliantly right from the start. Both their openers looked in great touch, and they won the match easily by nine wickets, requiring just eight overs for the same.
Fiji Women had squared off against Indonesia Women in their last match, where Indonesia won the toss and elected to field. It was not a good day on the field for Fiji, as they kept losing wickets right from the start. Ruci Muriyalo was the only batter with a decent score, while the team bundled for a total of 66 runs on the board. Indonesia, on the other hand, had a drastically different day. After an excellent day on the field with the ball, it was their turn with the bat, and they did so by winning the match by ten wickets.
