Philies United will lock horns with NJ Titans in the 17th match of the US Premier League T20 at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill on November 18. Philies United have won two of their four matches so far, while NJ Titans have also won two of their four games. Both these teams occupy the top two positions in the rankings.
Philies United played against New York Cowboys in their last game, where Philies United won the toss and elected to bowl. Being put to bat, the Cowboys were not too great from the start. They had a rather slow scoring rate and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. With contributions from a couple of players, they managed to put up a total of 148 runs. In reply, Philies United started off aggressively and scored at a rapid pace. They lost a couple of wickets in the process but did not let the scoring rate go down. As a result, they won the game by seven wickets with more than four overs to spare.
NJ Titans squared off against Carolina Eagles in their last encounter, where NJ Titans had won the toss and elected to bat. The Titans lost a wicket on the very first ball of the match but went completely berserk after that. They had a stand of 144 runs for the next wicket in 13.4 overs and smashed every bowler around. With the innings coming to an end, they amassed a huge total of 209 runs on the board. After losing an early wicket, the Eagles were always playing the catching-up game. They did try and put up a good show, but they could only muster 165, hence losing the game by 44 runs.
