Malta Women will lock horns with Estonia Women in the 2nd match of the ECI-W Malta T10 at Marsa Sports Club in Malta on November 18. Both these teams have not been in too great of a form recently. Malta Women have won just one game from their last five, while Estonia Women have not won any.
Malta Women played against Romania Women in their last match, where Romania Women won the toss and elected to bat. They did not start well, losing two wickets just at the score of 13, but had a good partnership for the third wicket. Once the partnership broke, they again kept losing wickets and were bowled for a mere total of 101. Other than their captain, Rebecca, no other batter could even have a score in double digits. In their chase, Malta had a much better start of 76 runs for the first wicket. They kept the run rate going and easily were able to chase the total, winning the match by seven wickets.
Estonia Women squared off against Finland Women in their last encounter, where Finland Women had won the toss and elected to bat. They started aggressively scoring at a rapid pace, in the process of which they lost an early wicket. However, they did not panic and kept the momentum going with their wicketkeeper Stella notching up her unbeaten fifty, which took the team to a huge total of 185. Estonia Women, in reply, were timid right from the start. They had difficulties finding boundaries and kept losing wickets in a bunch. They were easily bowled out for just 58 runs, losing the game by a huge margin of 127 runs.
