The first match of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2023 will be played between Malaysia Women and Nepal Women at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (August 31). Both teams recently played in the Malaysia Women’s Quadrangular T20I series, which Nepal Women won. Malaysia Women played the third place playoff against Kuwait Women, where they posted 112/4 on the board. Their bowlers restricted Kuwait Women to 77/8 and won the match by 35 runs. Nepal Women played the Final against Kuwait Women, where Kuwait Women posted 101/6 on the board. Nepal Women scored 37/1 in 5.3 overs and won the game by 13 runs by the DLS method.
