The 1st T20I of Hong Kong Women’s Tour of Malaysia 2023 will be played at Selangor Turf Club, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (September 12). Both teams will look to kickstart the T20I series with a win. Both teams played in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2023 where Malaysia Women failed to qualify for the semi-finals. Malaysia Women played their last game against Bhutan Women where they restricted Bhutan Women to 59/8 in 20 overs. They chased down the target in 15.4 overs. Hong Kong Women played semi-final 2 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Women where UAE Women posted 141/4. While chasing 142, they were bundled out for 84 in 16.5 overs and lost the match by 57 runs.
