Maryland Mavericks will face New York Cowboys in the 19th match of the US Premier League 2023 on Sunday (November 19) at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill. Both teams have won one out of five games so far. The Mavericks are in fourth place, while the Cowboys are in the second-last place.
The Mavericks lost their previous game against the California Golden Eagles by six wickets. They could only score 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs while batting first. None of the batters could manage to score more than 20 runs. The Golden Eagles chased down this total in 18 overs. Saif Badar played a fine knock of 48 runs off 33 deliveries. Shubham Ranjane was the most successful bowler, with two wickets for 16 runs in three overs.
The Cowboys tasted success for the first time this season in the last match against the Chicago Patriots. The match was reduced to 10 overs per side due to rain. Patriots made 87 runs for the loss of five wickets with the help of Joshua Tromp’s 42 runs off 18 deliveries. Each bowler apart from Obus Pienaar picked one wicket each for the Cowboys. The batters did a decent job as the Cowboys won the game in 9.1 overs. Jonathan Foo made 28 runs off 16 deliveries and was the highest scorer for the Cowboys.
