Jamaica Tallawahs will lock horns with Trinbago Knight Riders in the 17th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2023 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on September 3. Jamaica Tallawahs have played five games so far, where they have won two and are fourth in the table. Trinbago Knight Riders, on the other hand, played four games where they won two and are third in the rankings.
Jamaica Tallawahs had played against Barbados Royals in their last match, where Barbados Royals had won the toss and elected to bowl. Jamaica did not start too well and was down to 23 for three, but then Shamarh Brooks had a couple of good partnerships with Raymond Reifer and Imad Wasim, bringing them to a good total of 160 runs. Barbados also lost two wickets early but were quick to make a comeback and had a solid partnership for the third wicket. They went on to chase the total easily and won the match by six wickets.
Trinbago Knight Riders had played against Saint Lucia Kings in their last match, where Trinbago Knight Riders had won the toss and elected to bowl. The Kings had a brilliant start as they raked up 85 runs for their opening stand. They lost a couple of wickets in the process but were able to put up a good total of 167 runs on the board. An aggressive start from Knight Riders faded soon enough as they lost their first wicket. It was followed by a flurry of wickets, and they were bundled out for a total of 113, losing the match by 54 runs.
