Italy had played off against Denmark in their last encounter, where Italy won the toss and elected to bowl. Denmark was off to a horrible start, losing both their openers on ducks and looking to be in deep trouble. However, their reliable middle order came into play as they solidified the innings and took the team’s total to 110 runs. Italy lost a wicket early as well, but they quickly made a comeback thanks to a quickfire fifty from Zain Naqvi. With the help of good finishing skills displayed by Amir Sharif, they easily won the match by six wickets.
Netherlands XI had played off against Belgium in their last encounter, where Belgium won the toss and elected to bat. They started explosively, and although they lost a couple of wickets upfront, they did not slow down at all. With contributions coming from the whole team, they put up a monstrous total of 168 runs on the board. Similar to their opponents, the Netherlands XI started aggressively as well but kept losing wickets at regular intervals, which held them back and eventually were bowled out for 104, losing the game by 64 runs.
