Gujarat Lions will lock horns with Chiplun Strikers in the 22nd match of the Kuwait T10 Emerging at the Sulaibiya Cricket Ground in Kuwait on September 26. Gujarat Lions has played just one game so far, which they lost, and are fifth in the rankings of Group D. Chiplun Strikers, on the other hand, have a similar record as well and are at the bottom in Group D.
Gujarat Lions had played off against Blue Squadrons in their last match, where Blue Squadrons won the toss and elected to bowl. Osmani CC lost their first wicket on just two runs but had a fabulous second-wicket partnership to bring them back into the game. However, once the partnership broke, they could not carry it much forward and were able to put up a total of 80 runs on the board. Blue Squadrons were slow and sloppy right from the start. They could not score at the required rate and lost the match eventually by 13 runs.
Chiplun Strikers had played off against Lexus in their last encounter, where Marafie Bengal Tigers won the toss and elected to bowl. Being put to bat, Lexus made an aggressive start and scored 30 runs in just 2.3 overs for their opening stand. However, they failed to convert their start into a bigger total and ended up with just 67 runs. The Tigers did not start too well, losing two wickets just at one run, but the stand for the third wicket easily won them the match by seven wickets.
