Eastern Cape Iinyathi (ECI) started their campaign in this tournament with a victory in the opening match. Facing Eastern Storm (ES), ECI showcased a balanced performance. ES were bundled out for 125 runs, courtesy of impressive spells from Jade de Klerk and Thozama Totana. ECI chased down the target, scoring 128 runs for the loss of five wickets in 30 overs.
