Heat have won six out of nine games so far and are in fourth place in the points tally. Hurricanes have won three out of nine matches and are in third-last position.
Heat have won 12 out of 16 games against the Hurricanes so far. The Hurricanes have won just two games so far against the Heat since 2018.
Heat defeated Adelaide Strikers in their last outing by four wickets after chasing down the target of 138 runs on the penultimate delivery. Mignon du Preez made 60 runs off 49 deliveries and won the Player of the Match award.
The Hurricanes lost their last game against the Sydney Sixers after posting 139 runs on the board, which the Sixers chased down on the last delivery with three wickets in hand. Lizelle Lee scored a half-century and was the highest scorer for the Hurricanes. Heather Graham and Amy Smith picked three wickets each.
