Australia Legends will lock horns with Pakistan Legends in the 1st match of the Road Safety World Series 2023 at the Grace Road in Leicester on September 23. Australia Legends had a good season last year where they reached the semis but could not go further as they faced defeat by India who went on to win the tournament. On the other hand, Pakistan Legends were not a part of this tournament in the last edition but would be looking forward to making their mark this time.
Australia Legends had squared off against India Legends in their last match, which was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, where India Legends won the toss and elected to field. Australia started off on a really good note, scoring 60 runs for their opening partnership in just seven overs. After Shane Watson and Alex Doolan, Ben Dunk, who arrived to bat at three, also looked good and played a good knock of 46 runs off just 26 balls. Although the middle order slowed down, Cameron White provided them with the finish they were looking for. While chasing the target of 172, India started decently with losing wickets from one end, but Naman Ojha held on to his fort from the other end. He scored a brilliant 90 off 62 balls and remained unbeaten, but it was a fantastic show with the bat from Irfan Pathan, which won them the match as she slammed 37 off just 12 balls and won his team the match by five wickets.
