Atlanta Lightning (ATL) and Atlanta Fire (ATF) are set to clash in the 59th match of the Minor League Cricket 2023 at Atlanta Cricket Field on August 26. ATL have experienced a mixed start in the tournament, with one win and one loss, placing them in the third position on the points table. In contrast, ATF have enjoyed a stronger start, securing two victories and currently holding the second spot on the points table.
In their recent match against FLL, ATL faced a 12-run defeat. Mark Parchment’s knock of 37 runs off 39 balls stood out in their batting performance. In the bowling department, Pankaj Rao, Phani Simhadri, and Cassius Burton contributed by taking a wicket each.
In their previous match, ATF secured a 6-wicket win against OLG. Kennar Lewis’s contribution of 52 runs off 33 balls and Ishan Sharma’s quickfire ten runs off six balls showcased their batting capabilities. In the bowling department, Corne Dry impressed with five wickets.
