Assam CC will lock horns with Odisha-B in the 11th match of the Odisha T20 2023 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on September 20. Assam CC have played and won both their matches so far and are at the top of the table in Group B. Odisha-B, on the other hand, lost the only match they played so far and are languishing at the bottom of the table in Group B.
Assam CC had last played against Kerala CC in their last match, where Assam CC had won the toss and elected to bowl. Kerala did not particularly start the way they would have expected to, as they lost wickets one after the other without any of them scoring decent runs. Soon, they were bowled out for 92 runs. Assam started their innings on a very good note as their openers looked in good touch and amassed 34 runs for the opening partnership in five overs when rain interrupted the match. The match could not be continued after that, and Assam CC was declared the winner of the match by 15 runs.
Odisha-B had squared off against Kerala CC in their last encounter, where Kerala CC won the toss and elected to bowl. Odisha did not start too well, losing two of their wickets within the powerplay, but due to a good knock by Govinda Poddar, they were able to propel the team’s total to 151 runs. What happened in the chase was not something that would have been expected by anyone on the ground. The opening stand lasted for 150 runs and sealed the match for them, winning the game by nine wickets with around five overs to spare.
